  June 2024 Announcement #4:

  "August 2024 Study Edition of The Watchtower: Production of the August 2024 study edition of The Watchtower has been delayed. As a result, congregations are likely to receive their shipments of printed copies of the September 2024 and October 2024 issues of TheWatchtower before the August 2024 issue..."

  Wait...what??? The September & October 2024 Watchtower Study Mags are going to be produced & made available before the August 2024 Watchtower Study magazine.

  Isn't that like putting the cart before the horse or simply...putting things in the wrong order?

  Only in Watchtower World can a publishing company get things soo out of whack!

  Wow...higher appellate court rules that lead WTBTS lawyer Philip Brumley is 'a snake in the grass' of an attorney & that the $154,000.00 fine for fraud (submitting misleading & faulse affidavits) in 2 Montana CSA cases is upheld!

  What are the chances that Philip Brumley turns states evidence against WTBTS...flips on the Governing Body to save his own ass & reputation? Yay!

  In the U.S.A. a C.O. by the name of Lou Razor. Believe me...this guy lived-up to his name...he had a razor's edge about him! Many a JW were happy to hear that he had retired but pitied the congregation he was eventually assigned to...1,500 miles away!

  Constant Pleas For Money

  it comes up from time to time: that the wt's "constant pleas for money" signifies their precarious financial state due to the pressure of the csa settlements.

  is there any way of demonstrating that to be a fact?

  i ask because i've always been under the impression that "constant pleas for money" is the default state of the organisation, possibly going back to rutherford's time.

  People misquote this scripture for their own agenda. "For the love of money (greed) is a root (not the only one) of all sorts of injurious things..." (1 Tim 6:10)

  Hey 'a watcher' what do you think of my version of how 1Tim 6:10 should read:

  I've always viewed Mormons as the older sister to the Jehovah’s Witnesses. The Mormons being the older, more attractive & more successful sister...the Jehovah’s Witnesses being the younger, less attractive (ugly duckling) & less successful of the two.

  from the earliest of times of the catholic church's ecumenical councils were used to make major changes to its doctrinal direction.

  decisions were made by bishops, they were ratified by the pope ... and it was done.

  and the laity had to accepted them or not.. and while splinter catholic religions accepted most of these councils, non-trinitarian faiths which developed latter (of which jehovah's witnesses are apart) did not.

  The years 1914, 1918, 1919, 1925, 1935, 1975 & 2000...WT/JW devotee Rattigan350 won't find any of these dates/years in the Bible.

  But, what Rattigan350 will find in the Bible is:

  "Do not go beyond the things that are written..." (1 Corinthians 4:6)

  By way of summary: Everything a believer says should be based on Biblical truth.

  i haven’t been on here in years, had an old account but don’t remember the username or even the email to which it was attached.

  life, man.

  anywho, 13 years out (that feels wild), born in, fourth generation, elder’s daughter, baptized at ten, partially homeschooled (but apparently not enough lol), former convention stage performer/pioneer/foreign language congregation member, etc.

  At timestamp 8:00 on the May 2024 #3 Update video or you can reference Atlantis' opening post English Transcript '4.3.1. Study notes: Appropriate' where Kindergarten Teacher GB Winder states the following:

  "For example, there are clothes that are appropriate for when we go to the beach or on a picnic. And there are clothes that are appropriate for when we attend a wedding. And there are also clothes that are appropriate for when we go to worship at the Kingdom Hall or in the ministry."

  I've been out in public...to the mall, pharmacy, doctors' appointments, grocery store, work , etc since reviewing Winder's above comments on what's appropriate & what's not appropriate dress. It's quite apparent that people in general know how to dress appropriately...I swear...I didn't see anyone wearing pajamas or beach swimwear at any of the places I've been to. I wasn't offended by anyone by what they were wearing! It seems to me that Jehovah’s Witnesses are the only ones that need to be reprimanded, educated & reminded continually on how to dress appropriately in public...I swear!
